Which Low Carb-High Protein Plan Can Help You Lose Weight?


With so many diets in the industry today, which diet can actually help women lose weight in a fast and yet safe way? Dukan Diet


The Dukan Diet works on a 4-phase method where the dieter can eat as much as she wants provided that she does not break the rule. The first phase works on a strict lean protein diet composed of chicken, fish, egg, turkey and other low fatty yet protein rich food. The next 3 phases work on bringing back the other food groups into the dieter’s meal plan. Although the Dukan diet can help you lose weight, it can cause some problems as the body will lack nutrients that the other food groups provide.


Paleo Diet


The Paleo Diet, another low carb – high protein diet that would work for you. It comprises of foods that cave people used to eat. This meal plan includes eggs, meat, fish, nuts, fruits, vegetables and seeds. The main concept of the Paleo diet is to eat anything that is natural and to remove all processed foods. This diet would work for meat lovers although it is a bit expensive as all meal plans include meat and the lack of variety in the food group might bore some dieters who want variety in their food plate.


Atkins Diet


Atkins Diet is for those dieters who want to lose weight rapidly. The first 2 weeks would put the dieters into a low carb diet and cut out processed carbs as well as alcohol intake. The next 3 weeks include the adding of other food groups in the meal plan as well as introduction of exercise routines to support the weight loss. The diet works quickly in helping one lose weight; however, the high intake of red meat might increase health problems for some people and the lack of other food groups such as fruits and vegetables might cause additional health problems.

Under this program, a dieter can eat their normal meal five days of the week while fasting on the last 2 days. Some dieters though experience side effects with the diet.
