The Miracle Soup Diet promises fast weight loss. The promise is that you can lose 10 pounds in a week. Can you really lose 10 pounds that fast and how does it work? Read on to find out more.
Fad diets come and go, but this eating plan has been around for many years. It’s known by several names, most often as the cabbage soup diet. Can’t you see how you could lose weight fast just eating cabbage soup??? Luckily, that’s not what you do…
You can eat all the cabbage soup you want during the week, but you get to eat all kinds of other foods as well. The trick is that you just eat certain foods on certain days. Some foods you may normally eat, you can’t eat at all. Like sweets and breads… Get the picture? See, this is a disciplined eating plan that eliminates foods that tend to be the cause of the weight gain.
Is this a safe way to eat? Look, this is just for a week. This is not a long-term eating plan. Nobody would suggest that anyone eat like this for long. It’s calorie and fat restricted and low in protein too.
So, what’s the point of this diet? Here’s the way I see it. Long-term weight loss of about a pound a week or so is all you can expect. That’s so slow you can hardly notice it. A “diet” like this is a way to drop some pounds fast and get some positive reinforcement. Plus, it’s a sort of cleansing diet too. And, you will weigh less on the scales fast.
The Miracle Soup Diet is a fast way to drop about 10 pounds in a week. It’s not a long-term weight loss program. It’s a way to show some quick results on the scales which may be encouraging if you’re on a really good sustainable eating plan.
