Paleo Diet – Juice Diet Detox

The Paleo Diet is not really a diet, it is a change in your eating habits and one of the best way to start this process is through an initial juice diet detox. Some people think that the juice diets are just a fad, but actually it is far from a fad. It is not only a great way to cleanse your body of toxins that we have accumulated through our diet and through the air that we breathe but also a means to strengthen our immune system and lose a few pounds.

Those vegetables and fresh fruits that we have overlooked in our diet for so long can be processed into a juice that you can drink in just a few swallows. Imagine vegetables such as kale, mustard greens, spinach, broccoli and carrots, that you probably hate, all in an 8 ounce glass that you can drink in one sitting. This juice is only one of many such recipes that you can process in your own home and with very little cost. All that is necessary is to buy a $39.00 juicer and whatever vegetables or fruits you desire.

Drinking fresh vegetable juice allows you to consume more vegetables than you would normally be able to eat. An average person can easily consume 1 lb. of raw vegetables per 50 lbs of body weight, an amount that many dieticians recommend as our daily requirement for good health.

Besides the benefit of a juice diet detox there is also a quick weight loss and these three other benefits;

1. Easy to metabolize. Vegetables and fruits in the juice form are easy for the body to process. Your body can put this juice to work revitalizing all your metabolic functions almost instantly with little in the way of byproducts. These nutrients are part of the Paleo Diet which focuses on the natural products of the earth.

2. Slows your metabolism. Juices are digested effortlessly by your body which causes your metabolism to slow down, this means that you will feel full longer thus reducing additional food intake causing you to eat less.

3. Your weight loss. You can expect to lose 2 to 3 pounds per day on this juice diet detox. This may seem to be a lot of weight loss, but with raw nutrients without the bulk of the fiber these numbers are very possible. However, this rapid weight loss is a shock to your body and once it recovers and attempts to adjust it finds that it cannot sustain on juice alone. This is why it should be used as a preliminary diet prior to starting off on the Paleo diet and not last longer than a week.

For years such celebrities as Jack LeLanne have attempted to make the public aware of the benefits of juices. Jack lived to be 96 years old and still worked out every morning and drank his morning juices.

Before starting off on a juice diet detox you need to consult with your doctor. This detox may be detrimental to people that are on certain types of medication or are already weak from disease.
