A Copy of the DASH Diet – Keep Your Hypertension Under Control

I have been asked what the DASH diet is. DASH is an acronym for Dietary Approaches To Stop Hypertension. Patients who are just getting hypertension will be placed on this program to keep their blood pressure under control. High BP is no joke and can lead to heart attacks, strokes, and aneurisms. Many people want a copy of the dash diet so that they can help keep their blood pressure lower.

The diet places a lot of emphasis on grains like oatmeal because of the power they have to lower BP. Most whole wheat products are good for you because they are high in fiber which helps to keep the blood pressure in check. You are also advised to eat at least 4 or 5 servings of fruits and vegetables. They contain all sorts of vitamins and minerals that are very essential in keeping you healthy. When it comes to dairy products you must be drinking non fat milk and non fat cheeses and yogurts. If you must you can have 1%, but most do not recommend it. You are also allowed to have lean meats like chicken, turkey, etc. This in essence is a copy of the dash diet plan. Follow this and you will have kept your hypertension in order.

The DASH diet plan is very effective in helping many people keep the BP in normal ranges. If you are someone who needs this type of diet make sure you follow it because if you do not the consequences can be quite severe. They can even lead to death so take it very seriously.Your hypertension can be controlled with careful diet and exercise. I hope you enjoyed a copy of the dash diet plan.
