Shogun’s Log – My Toe Is NOT Broken!

Deadlift Nemesis – Day 2

Nick Horton - Shogun's Log

Despite the horror of dropping 265 pounds upon my poor unsuspecting toes last night – they seem completely fine today, save for some minor bruising. Disaster averted!

I lifted at the gym tonight with the crew. Eli had a crazy good day with a PR snatch AND a massive PR on his squats – hitting 200 kilos at a bodyweight of 77 kilos. He ended up with a bloody nose for his efforts, but I think that’s a trade off he was willing to make.

The new guy, Marshall hit a PR 95kg snatch – and it looked like a joke. HIGH power snatch. He’s good for 110kg once he figures out what he’s doing.

Tamara has lowered her start position on the snatch, and it looks amazing. She seems far more “locked in” and stable now. I see some big lifts coming her way once she’s done with her 6 week diet-down phase.
