You may think you’re saving calories by popping open that can of diet cola, but you may be doing more harm than good, according to a new report published in Trends in Endocrinology & Metabolism. A dozen studies were analyzed by Purdue University researchers, who found that diet-soda drinkers within the normal weight range still had a significant risk of developing at least one of the top three killers: heart disease, diabetes, or stroke.
