Given the fast paced lifestyle that most people have nowadays, people who wish to diet are going in for prepackaged diet plans more and more. No one has the time nor the inclination to plan a well balanced meal, shop for ingredients, and then cook it and so on. Everyone wants all of this to be taken care of so that they can focus instead on their career, exercising and other things that interest them.
Given this scenario, there are umpteen prepackaged diet plans available but the only issue is how to choose the best one. I’ll try to help you by sharing some of my views with you in this article. What kind of convenience are you looking for is something you need to look into before buying a diet plan. There are some like Nutrisystem that provide you all the main meals but ask you to add some extra side dishes to the main course that they provide.
Some others like Jenny Craig encourage you to go in for one on one counseling sessions every week for added benefit. This type of support satisfies a lot of people. Some are happy if the main course is provided and don’t mind spending some time and effort for the extras that they have to take care of by themselves. Some are very happy receiving counseling and some emotional hand holding to help them keep on with the diet and have no problems with spending the extra time required for counseling.
It all boils down to what you really need. I chose to go with Medifast because convenience is very important to me. They offer counseling online and so there is no need to set aside time for that. There are a lot of introverted people who would find this type of counseling a lot easier to deal with. Secondly, you don’t have to do anything to prepare side dishes. So, of the six small meals you have to eat, five are ready made. All you need to do is prepare the sixth lean and green meal.
Since I am a working man, the five prepared meals are a great help when I am at work. The sixth lean and green meal which is both nutritious and low on calories I prepare for dinner which I share with the rest of my family. I can even have my low calorie meal in a restaurant as long as I choose what I eat carefully. So, taking responsibility for just one meal a day provides me some flexibility on what I can eat so that I don’t have to carry my prepackaged meals around constantly.
