How To Build Muscle Through Visualization

When it comes to building muscle and improving your overall health, your best results will be achieved if you incorporate the power of your mind into your workouts. By using your mind through visualization techniques, you begin to set in motion your subconscious mind in accomplishing your desires to improve your body to its full potential.

Visualization is technique where by you picture in your mind what you are trying to accomplish in your case building more muscle, than hold that picture prior to that days workout. Visualization is where you can program your subconscious mind to assist you in developing what is called the mind-muscle link. This link is used by the most competitive bodybuilders and athletes in the world and, is what brings out the champion in each one of them. The great thing about this is you also have this program at your disposal. All human beings are equipped with the ability to visualize.

To visualize properly and make the experience successful, you want to be sure you are in a relaxed state where there are no interruptions and you are perfectly still. When first starting out with visualization, use it prior to going to sleep at night just before you actually fall asleep. This is when you can make a clear impression on your mind about your goal of building a stronger, more complete muscular body. Picture what you want to look like. Try and extract every detail you can about every body part you are looking to improve on.

For instance if you want to build bigger biceps, picture in your mind what your biceps will look like when you achieve your goal. See the muscle rippling when you flex it, picture your arms busting out of your shirt sleeves.

Some bodybuilders for instance, picture their biceps looking like mountains along with adding the vascularity details popping out of the muscle. Everyone is different in what they picture or type of metaphor they use.

If you work out in the morning, visualize your workout and what equipment and exercises you will use the night before. Close your eyes and see yourself lifting the weight that will be necessary to get your biceps to grow and to reach your maximal potential.

This is a technique that has to be done on a daily basis for it to work effectively. Taking a hit or miss approach will not allow you to achieve your goals. Daily practice lasting about 5 to 10 minutes is a good place to start. it will be difficult at first because our minds generally like to wander. Blocking everything else out takes time and practice.

Your mind will bring you the results you are seeking if you learn to make it a part of your daily ritual before training. The champions in he world of bodybuilding or any other professional sport rely heavily on it for their ultimate success. You can do the same in your own personal success.
